  Foot And Mouth
What is foot-and-mouth?
What happens to an infected animal?
How does the disease spread?
Are my pets in danger?
What about me?
How do we fight the disease?
Is this latest epidemic over?

How does the disease spread?
  • By contact with infected animals or other contaminated materials, like mud, shoes or vehicles
  • Contaminated food
  • Meat from the carcass of infected animals
  • It may even be transmitted through dust particles in the air

Heat, sunlight and disinfectants help to destroy the virus. Cold and darkness tend to keep it alive.
