How the courtroom looked
It's normally against the law to take cameras inside a courtroom - but artists are permitted.

The picture above shows the layout of the Old Bailey courtroom for the Damilola murder trial when it started in January - with four teenagers accused of the murder.

Because the trial involved many children

  • none of them could be identified in pictures
  • journalists cannot publish their names or addresses
