Gerbil Animal testing
In favour
Human life is worth more than animal life.

Laws protect all animals used for testing from cruelty or bad treatment.

Millions of animals are killed for food every year - if anything, medical research is a more worthy death.

Few animals feel any pain as they are killed before they have the chance to suffer.

Against
Animals have as much right to life as human beings.

Laws have not prevented scientists from abusing animals.

Deaths through research are unnecessary and are morally no different from murder.

When animals are locked up they suffer great stress. How can we know they don't feel pain?
