What is mental illness?
Mental illness is very common. Around one in four people in the UK will experience some kind of mental illness in their lifetime.

They can start to have problems in the way they think, feel or behave.

This may harm their relationships and the quality of their life and also for their family and friends.

Most people with mental illnesses can lead normal lives with the right treatment and support.
