The ice-cream cone celebrated its 100th birthday in 2004 and its shape has not changed much over the past century.
This is because the cone is a very environmentally friendly form of packaging.
There is no waste because you eat the container.
Also, ice-cream sellers can stack the cones a hundred high so they don't take up much space.
Even the chocolate bit at the bottom is more than a nice treat. It stops the wafer becoming soggy and dropping off.
