Hurricanes, Typhoons & Cyclones
A tropical storm is the overall name for a storm which is spinning.

Hurricanes, cyclones and typhoons are the same thing, but have different names where they appear:

  • Hurricanes in the North Atlantic Ocean
  • Cyclones over the Indian Ocean
  • Typhoons over the Pacific Ocean
