Which BBC channels are free?
What is Newsround Showbiz?
How can I get Newsround on digital TV?
What's digital satellite about?

What's digital terrestrial about?

Why does it cost so much?
As well as the digital box, you often need to pay a monthly subscription to buy extra channels.

You usually get a basic TV package as part of your satellite or cable deal, but you get the option to pay extra for things like movie channels and sport.

With the box that lets you pick up digital television through your ordinary aerial, you pay once for the box and then get all the channels for nothing - although you get a lot less channels than on satellite or cable.
