Australia beat England at Twickenham 1991
The second tournament was hosted by the five big teams in Europe - England, Ireland, Scotland, Wales and France.

It was the closest England has ever come to winning the tournament, losing the final 12-6 to big rivals Australia at Twickenham.

All tournament England had used their forwards and kicker Rob Andrew to win them games, but in the final they tried to run the ball much more, and it didn't work.
