Geoff Hurst The World Cup
Played every four years, the World Cup decides who is the best country in the world.

The next tournament is played in Korea and Japan in 2002, where France will try and win the cup for the second time in a row.

England have won the tournament once in 1966. Striker Geoff Hurst scored a hat-trick for England and they beat West Germany 4-2 in after extra time at Wembley.
