David Duval celebrates winning The Open
The Majors
There are lots of tournaments played every year, but four of them are more important than all the others.

They are:

  • The US Open
  • The US Masters
  • The British Open
  • The USPGA

These tournaments are called the Majors, and are very difficult to win.

If any player wins all four Majors in a single year it is called a Grand Slam but no one has ever done it. Tiger Woods has gone closest, winning all four in a row, but over two years.
