Sergio Garcia What's the point?
The main aim of golf is to hit the ball from the tee to the green, and then knock it into the hole.

For each hole, there is a number of shots that experts think players should need to complete the hole, called par. The shorter the hole, the lower the par number.

There are 18 holes in a round of golf, and par is normally 72. The player who completes the 18 holes in the least number of shots wins.

A tournament is normally made up of four rounds of 18 holes.
