Disguised as her servant, Padme went with Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn to search for parts to repair their damaged spaceship.

Still in disguise, Padme met a nine-year-old slave boy named Anakin Skywalker and they quickly became friends.

Once their ship was repaired, Anakin went with Padme and the others back to Naboo.
