C-3PO is a protocol droid capable of speaking six million forms of communication.
R2-D2 is a service droid who has saved our heroes on more than one occasion.
C-3PO was built out of old scrap by nine year old Anakin Skywalker on Tatooine.
He was built to help Anakin's mother, Shmi, about the house.
C-3PO is good friends with R2-D2, the droid belonging to Padme Amidala of Naboo.
Many years later and after many adventures, the two friends find themselves captives of the Jawa traders on Tatooine.
Here they are sold to Luke Skywalker and his uncle, Owen Lars.
However, R2-D2 is on a mission for the beautiful Princess Leia, a mission he is determined to complete.
During the night he runs away into the desert.
He is found the next day by Luke and C-3PO with Obi-Wan Kenobi, and so the adventure continues with R2-D2 and C-3PO starring right to the end.
