It helps to take time out Dealing with bad feeling
At Christmas, you often find yourself hanging out with your relatives for more time than you're used to.

If you find this difficult, they probably do too.

Here are some tips on keeping your cool.

  • It's good to understand the situation. The stresses of Christmas can leave people on the edge, making it difficult to relax. The atmosphere at home is often different at Christmas.

  • Try to respect people's space. If they seem angry or fed-up, leave them on their own for a while to calm down.

  • Similarly, if things are getting on top of you, take some time out. Go for a walk, listen to some music or find a quiet place to read.
