Many people miss their mates at Christmas Making time for your mates
Most of us are used to seeing our mates nearly every day.

But when the school holidays arrive, we can feel cut off and start missing their friendship.

Family commitments often take our friends out of town at Christmas, so they're harder to get hold of.

Check out our tips on making the most of your mates this Christmas.

  • You're probably not going to be together on Christmas Day, so why not celebrate on another date? You could have a friends-only festive bash, with all the trimmings!

  • Charities and church groups often need volunteers for special events they're running at Christmas. You and you mates could offer to be helpers. It's often a really rewarding experience.

  • Buying presents can be an expensive business. Rather than splashing out on the bling-bling, why not do something meaningful - like making each other tapes of your fave songs or organising a day out together?
