Mink What do people in the fur trade say?
There are rules that fur farmers must follow.

The European Convention for the Protection of Animals has rules for food, housing, daily supervision and slaughter.

The British Fur Trade Association (BFTA) says:

  • Farmed fur makes up more than 85% of the world's trade

  • There are more than 6,000 fur farms in Europe

  • It is in a fur farmer's interests to breed healthy animals - the healthier the animal, the better the fur.
