Svetlana Khorkina Svetlana Khorkina
How did she do in Athens?
Not as well as the five-time world champion hoped, after finishing second in the all-around event behind US gymnast Carly Patterson.

Khorkina also failed to win on her best event, the uneven bars, after falling during the final.

In Olympic history the most famous names in gymnastics have often been tiny teenage girls who stunned the sport with their tumbling skills.

So Svetlana Khorkina is extremely unusual as she is much taller than many of her rivals and at 25 is competing in her third Olympics.

She's the only gymnast ever to win the overall title at the world championships three times.

At the Sydney Games a piece of apparatus was set up wrongly and it seemed to put her off - she'll want to make up for it in Athens.
