Turkmen and Assyrians
The Muslim Turkmen (based around Kirkuk) and the Christian Assyrians were both from northern Iraq.
However, a lot of the oil in Iraq is found there.
In order to control the oil, Saddam Hussein's government forced many people from these groups to move so Arab groups loyal to him can be close to the oilfields.
