In which countries has Sars been the most serious?
China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan and Canada had the most cases of Sars.

China had more than 5,000 cases and Hong Kong more than 1,700, compared to just four in the UK.

Taiwan has also been badly hit, with at over 600 cases.

Around the world there were about 8400 cases of Sars and 900 deaths in the 2002/2003 outbreak.
