Holland were the big favorites to win the World Cup, playing in a style called 'total football' where every player could play in every position.
Scotland were the only British team to qualify, but didn't make the second round despite being unbeaten and drawing 0-0 with defending champions Brazil.
Holland reached the final against the hosts and scored a penalty in the first minute, but couldn't hold onto the lead.
