Big Brother became a world wide phenomenon in 1999 in Holland where nine volunteers were filmed 24 hours a day for 100 days.
It was an instant hit with a staggering 15 million people tuning in for the final show on New Year's Eve.
Loads of countries then signed up for the show, including the UK, USA, Sweden, France, Argentina, Poland and Australia.
Since then 'Reality TV' has swamped our screens, from Survivor and Eden, to the much anticipated The Osbournes, starring ageing rocker Ozzy Osbourne.
