We asked you to review the new animated movie Scooby Doo. Here are some of the best ones.

Maddy, 13, Wareham

opening quoteI think Scooby Doo is great!!!! It's much better than I imagined it would be. They chose the actors really well, and they suit their parts!!!The storyline was funny and it makes you jump and there's a twist at the end - the villain is not who you think it is!

I went to see it for my 13th birthday and all my friends agree, it's one of the best, funniest and coolest movies around!!!! It's for anyone at any age and is fab!!!!!!!!! closing quote

Lisa, 13, London

opening quoteI went to watch Scooby Doo as soon as it came out cos I loved the cartoons. At first I didnt think it would be that good. But it was brilliant! It was really funny, I didn't stop laughing all the way through.

The animation of Scooby is really good and the actors are perfect at playing their parts. I especially loved the ending and Daphne's character was my favourite. Everyone should go and watch it though there were some parts which would scare younger ones. Jinkies it's good! closing quote

Luke, 9, Stockport

opening quoteScooby Doo starts off where a team of five break up. Then two years later an invitation comes to all of them telling them to solve a mystery on Spooky Island. They all meet up and decide to work together. Scooby and Shaggy are best pals.

There's Daphne who is played by Buffy and is always the damsel in distess but not for long. Fred, he is UGLY but he thinks differently. And then there's Velma whos got a brain the size of 20 computers and a really sharp eye. Scooby is WICKED. Scrappy is not as small as you think he is. closing quote

Lisa, 14, Manchester

opening quoteI think Scooby Doo Is FAB! The cartoon is not so hot but Scooby Doo has really grown up in this wicked movie. Scooby and Shaggy are so hopelessly funny you'll want to see it again and again! But watch out for Scrappy Doo, he may seem small but has big plans for Mystery Island... closing quote

Linda, 11, Sydney, Australia

opening quoteScooby Doo is a wild adventure, featuring the original characters from the cartoon series. Join Scooby, Velma, Daphne, Fred and Shaggy as they go on their biggest adventure yet.

The film starts with the gang splitting up and leads to some two years later, where the group are all invited to Spooky Island, a resort for college kids. They are supposed to solve a mystery: why are the kids so mean when they leave? And who did it? It's the person who did that will shock you. closing quote

Adaline, 13, Illinois, USA

opening quoteI thought that the film was awesome. I have been a big fan of Scooby since I was seven. I really loved the special effects, and how they made Scooby so realistic. It sometimes makes me wish I had a talking dog!!!

I also was impressed by how they made the actors look so much like the cartoon characters. One thing that I was a little disappointed in was how they made Fred be so self-centered. All in all, the movie was excellent. I would love to see the movie again!!!!! closing quote

Andrew, 12

opening quoteScooby Doo was fantastic, the plot, actors and of course Scooby Doo. But at the end (I don't like to ruin it for anyone) but Scrappy was too mean. I would give the film 5/10 closing quote

Lauren, 12, Kennesaw, USA

opening quoteThe main question here is...Was the new Scooby-Doo movie worth a Scooby Snack? It was filled with Mystery and lots of laughs. Who would not like it? It is different from the cartoons but that is what makes a great movie. It has a turn-around ending that you have to see. It is rolling in cash at the box office. So if you ask me the Scooby-Doo movie is worth two Scooby Snacks!! closing quote

Fergal, 8, Blackburn

opening quoteThis film is excellent. Lots of funny twists in the movie and excellent actors as well.

Rowan Atkinson played a very good part and was funny and villainous. I really enjoyed the ending and the airport scene. Scrappy Doo's appearance made me laugh a lot! closing quote

Aimee, 12 and a half, Wolverhampton

opening quote Scooby Doo is a very fascinating and exciting film for all the family. Although I think that Harry Potter is better but the film is witty and funny and Sarah Michelle Geller is great! closing quote

Haleema, 12, Berkshire

opening quote Scooby View and Scrappy Boo!

I'll leave you to work out the title! I had the chance to watch an advanced screening of Scooby Doo. The kids of Mystery Inc. are called out to Spooky Island to investigate brainwashing on visitors to the island. There¿s a great ending, which you¿ll love if you don¿t like Scrappy Doo.

The computer generated Scooby was pretty neat, the timing and scenes between him and the others was brilliant. If you compare Scooby the movie to the cartoon, it¿s not bad but it is completely different.

The movie is for everyone from tweens to adults. Of course some people will prefer the cartoon but I reckon that the film is a sure hit. Shaggy and Scooby seemed to be the main characters and I think it was brilliant that they were. Its good that Freddie Prinze Jnr and Sarah Michelle Gellar were not given the most viewing time, they are good but Shaggy (Matthew Lillard) was WICKED!

Look out for the soul swapping scene as it was really funny. The film in a word: stunning! closing quote

Dane, 14, Lincoln

opening quote It's really funny with the best part being the fart match! The Scooby Doo is ace. Whoever did it I give them 100%. closing quote

Lauren, 13, USA

opening quote I saw Scooby Doo with a friend, and loved it! The whole time we tried to figure out who it was, but it has the most unpredictable ending! The actors did a great job! I think kids of all ages would enjoy it. The story line is great, and it's a fantastic film! closing quote

Rosie, 13, Crewe

opening quote I saw Scooby Doo last weekend and i thought it was really good. It was one of those films that even though the storyline and the actual film was silly, you could just laugh! The acting was strong and mostly realistic and it had many twists and turns in it and lots of action. I would give it a definate 9/10 b! I think kids of all ages would enjoy it. The story line is great, and it's a fantastic film! closing quote
