Hagley Road in Hayley Green is a busy dual carriageway.

It has a 40-mile-an-hour speed limit but no-one sticks to it.

Caught in the middle

We use the road to get to school and if we want to go to the shops.

>But because the road is always busy, it's very difficult to cross - we've sometimes waited nearly 15 minutes before we've been able to.

The worst thing is getting caught in the middle - you can be stuck there for ages!

There have also been lots of accidents on this road including car crashes and children have been knocked down.

Most of the time we don't feel safe crossing it and think something should be done about it.

The best idea would be to have a pedestrian crossing, that way cars would have to stop for us to cross.

Take notice

We feel really strongly about this, not just for children but for anyone who finds it dangerous using this road.

Hopefully with all this publicity the authorities will take notice before more people are hurt."
