What happened next?
Chris: We had dinner, then our leader told us that some people who had got stuck in the area where coming to eat at the station, so we set up the dining room for them.
James: At about 10pm, they told us to go and get our stuff ready because we were being moved to Callendar, which is about a 30-mile journey.
Chris: The police and mountain rescue people came in. We got into our minibuses and we were given a police escort out of the village.
What was the atmosphere like?
Chris: Everyone was very calm.
James: It was quite strange, but the local people handled it really well. As scouts, we're trained to keep calm and to deal with unusual situations.
What's happened to you since you were evacuated?
Chris: We're staying at a school in Callendar. We've got to know the pupils and we even had an England v Scotland football match with them!
James: We're on a two-week trip, which was meant to end on Saturday, so we're just waiting to find out when we'll be going home.
