We need a solution to pollution
Updated 23 March 2004, 10.42
Cars cause pollution
Pollution is causing a lot of damage to our environment and in Bethan's report she tells us what her solution would be to help protect the planet.

"Pollution is caused by carbon dioxide being released into the atmosphere and trapping heat, causing the planet to warm up.

I believe we need a drastic improvement for us and for everything around us. Here's why.

Reefs are dying
Reefs are dying
Many animals and plants are in danger, like the polar bears because they live in a cold environment that's warming up.

Coral reefs are already in danger.

Less cars

We may get a better quality of life if we cut down on pollution.

Pollution may cause asthma and it could become more dangerous for a lot more people who suffer from this.

I will leave you to make your own mind but I think the solution is in more wind farms and less cars on the road."

Bethan, 10, Harrogate

Why don't you write us a Press Pack report - and get it published on the site?!

It can be about anything that's happened in your local area - or your views on the news.
