Sarah thinks it's wrong for birds to be kept in cages.
In her report she says that birds should be allowed to fly freely.
"In some pet shops you walk in and there are hamsters, gerbils and cats.
Shelf upon shelf of animal food, and an unpleasant smell.
Tiny cage
I can put up with the smell, but I was revolted when one day I went into a pet shop with my friends and I saw caged birds.
And what made it worse was there were about three to a tiny cage.
I was so disgusted by it, I walked out there and then.
I want to address people who cage birds.
Soar through skies
I think it's so cruel.
Birds were made with wings to soar through the skies freely, not be cramped up in a cage.
With other domesticated animals they often stay in the same place all their life anyway, but birds fly around, and migrate.
So next time you walk into a shop to buy a pet, remember that birds are meant to fly free."
