I went behind the scenes at the BBC

Fearne Cotton
Rachelle won a Golden Ticket competition and got to go behind the scenes at BBC Television Centre in London.

Here she tells us all about her day and the stars she bumped into!

In the morning we saw the presenters of CBBC in action, as they showed sea creatures to the viewers.

After doing a rehearsal, my cousin Alex got to make an announcement on live television.

After a tour of the weather and Blue Peter studios and the Blue Peter garden, we went to see Top of the Pops Saturday being filmed.

Meeting the stars

This was my favourite bit, as we got to meet the fun Fearne Cotton and her guests Lemar, Jenny Frost from Atomic Kitten and Peter Andre.

Peter was really nice and gave me a big hug.

We had our photographs taken in the studio with the stars and then saw how the programme is made.

I was surprised how many people worked in the studio.

I got a big hug from Peter Andre!

Poor mum

One really funny thing was when my mum, who came with us, walked in to a room and the man in there shouted "cut" in a gruff voice.

My mum was really embarrassed and apologised about 10 times, before the man told her he was only joking.

Everyone that we met at the BBC was really nice to us, especially Faye who was our guide for the day.

Another part of the prize was a great Freeview box, so now I can watch TOTPS on BBC1 on Saturday mornings and then watch it again on the CBBC channel on Saturday evenings!
