Many do not know enough about politics to make informed and sensible choices about who to vote for.

Many people between the age of 16 and 18 are still in full time education and live at home with their parents; they are not independent adults.

I realise that this problem should be tackled and that politics should be made more appealing to younger generations.

But I also feel that giving 16-year-olds the vote will not change the fact that less and less young adults are exercising their right to vote.
