I helped write a book which is now published
Updated 08 October 2003, 08.02
Isabel
Isabel and her mum joined forces to write a children's book called Lionboy which is about a boy who can speak to cats.

It has now been published!

In her report Isabel tells us how it all came about.

"When I was very young my mum used to read me bedtime stories which she made up for me.

I loved them so much that I asked her to make them into a real book. It took a while, but about six years later it happened.

We work together, but to be honest, Mum does the hardest work.

She writes things out, then I tell her what doesn't work, and help make other decisions.

Sometimes we do argue about what should go into the book, but I usually end up winning.

The name you'll see on our books is Zizou Corder, and that's because I had a lizard called Zizu when I was younger.

Getting a book published hasn't really changed my life. It was a bit weird seeing a report in a paper saying I was a millionaire when I know I'm not!

We've finished two books, and are working on the third.

But as for what happens in them, you'll have to find out for yourselves!"

Isabel, 10, London

Why don't you write us a Press Pack report - and get it published on the site?!

It can be about anything that's happened in your local area - or your views on the news.
