Rebecca swims in competitions for her local club in Belfast.
But in her report she says that better facilities are needed for young swimmers to train.
"I swim competitively for one of the biggest swimming clubs in Belfast.
We have 230 members and train using two pools.
Too small to train
Unfortunately one of them is only a four-lane pool and only 22 metres long.
And with more and more people using it, this has become too small for training.
We are the only area in Britain not to have a 50 metre pool and it is affecting those who go away to represent Northern Ireland in national competitions.
More gold medals?
It is sad that we have to travel three hours to Dublin to get to a 50 metre pool or the five hours to Limerick.
If we had a 50 metre pool it would mean that Northern Ireland may have a chance of sending more people to represent them in the Commonwealth and Olympic Games."
