Wadha lives in Kuwait City
Wadha lives in Kuwait City, Kuwait.

In her report about the war with Iraq she tells us how much of Kuwait City has closed down and she's been spending most of her time indoors.

"The sirens have stopped now.

But last week I remember I was in my cousin's room on the net.

Then all of a sudden the sirens started going off.

Gas masks on

My cousins and I made our way down to the basement and when we got there we switched off the lights, turned on the TV and put our gas masks on and prayed silently.

Then for a second my memories of Kuwait started flashing back to me, leaving me on the verge of tears.

Not much sleep

This routine has been going until now.

The windows and doors are sealed.

We cannot go out and we don't get much sleep.

We are not going to school - they have been closed until further notice.

And the streets are very quiet now, not a lot of people go out and the malls and shops have been closed.

Left the country

My friends are worried about the war, one has left for Canada and she might not be back until September.

I have decided that I would never leave my country even if the war happens in Kuwait, I would never trade it for the world."
