  My Diary: Model
Updated 22 January 2003, 08.08
Teen model Jamie
Hello everyone! My name's Jamie, I'm 16 and I'm a model.

I work for Premier Models in London during the day, but I'm doing my A-levels too.

This is the sixth entry in my diary.

5 December

I started off the month doing some face modelling for Avon skin and beauty products. The pictures were in Avon's magazine, which you have to order from. It's not sold in the shops.

10 December

Jamie modelled some amazing clothes at the London College of Fashion
I got another job doing some modelling for a fashion company called Elam. It was modelling underwear and dresses. That was really good fun. It was at the Royal Horticultural Society buildings in Pimlico in London, which was lovely. It was a really cool venue.

16 December

I then did some catwalk modelling for the student show at the London College of Fashion. All the students are really talented and they had all these amazing clothes.

I just couldn't believe some of them! I kept asking them: 'When are you going to start selling your clothes in the shops because I want to wear them?' The nicest thing I wore was this beautiful white skirt with frills flowing off it and a white vest top with white leather strips on it. It was incredible.

19 December

Jamie was pleased with her mock exam results
I then did another job for Tank magazine, which is a trendy magazine. I had to wear loads of pretty designer dresses.

All the pictures had to have movement in them so I was swirling around a lot, which was good fun. In most of the pictures I'm spinning around with the dresses flowing out around me.

21 December

I also had my mock exams at college. I didn't feel at all prepared for them, and I don't usually do very well in mocks so I was really nervous. And I've been working so hard on my modelling. But I was really pleased - I got a B and 2 Cs.

That was really good for me, and it means I'm definitely being put forward for the AS levels in June. I was really happy and my parents were pleased with me as well.

22 December

After a really busy November and December, I finally got two weeks off for Christmas! I spent Christmas Day at my grandparents', which was lovely. I got a bit of rest over xmas and saw lots of family, which was nice.

But I'm really looking forward to doing more modelling in 2003!

Come back next month to find out what Jamie's been up to
