  I walked for snow leopards

A pair of snow leopards
Amy thinks that people should do more to help animals.

"My friend and I recently went to the WWF's Walk for Wildlife.

It is an event that happens every year and is a great fun way to raise money for charity.

I love animals

The WWF were trying to raise money for snow leopards which are constantly being killed for their beautiful fur.

I love animals and really enjoyed being able to do something to help them. And WWF is my favourite charity!

All we had to do was get sponsors, and there were plenty who wanted to give money. Then we had to walk a certain number of miles round Marwell Zoo.

Great fun

It was an excellent idea to hold it at the zoo because firstly you got free entry. Secondly it meant you had a chance to the see the beautiful creatures and learn more about them yourself.

Although my friend and I did not walk the full 15 miles, it did not matter because people had sponsored us a certain amount in total. So were able to fulfil the task but also enjoy a great day out.

I think more people who are interested in animal welfare should get involved with these days, as they are not only great fun but you're making a difference and raising money for a great cause!"

Why don't you write us a Press Pack report - and get it published on the site?!

It can be about anything that's happened in your local area - or your views on the news.
