  My Diary: Model
Updated 23 October 2002, 08.32
Teen model Jamie
Hello everyone! My name's Jamie, I'm 16 and I'm a model.

I work for Premier Models in London during the day, but I've just started doing my A-levels too.

This is the fourth entry in my diary.

October 1

I had my biggest job so far. I was photographed for the cover of a Sunday Times magazines about 40 years of James Bond.

I was wearing a bikini and holding a gun, and standing in front of an Aston Martin.

Jamie said the modelling competition was a great experience
It was shot in Oxfordshire so it was a good day out.

I didn't even know I had got the job until 8pm the night before, and I had to be there at 8am the next day. When I got the phone call I just said 'Oh my God'.

I had to meet the other girl at Baker Street station and we travelled up there together.

There was a location van where I met all the clothes stylists and make-up artists.

I got changed in the location van and had my make-up done, but the longest bit was having all the photographs taken, as they had to get it right.

But it was fine because the photographers were really nice and it was such a good job.

My parents and my agency, Premier, were really happy that I got it.

But I don't think I look like me on the magazine photos. I look so much older!

All my friends keep ringing me up and saying they saw me.

October 7

Apart from that I've been going to my usual model castings and going to college. Lots of people have said to me that they recognise me from the Sunday Times magazine.

October 13

I also did a photo shoot for a Danish calendar, when I had to wear Christian Lacroix clothes.

Jamie's started her A-levels at college
It's basically a calendar which focuses on one fashion - last year they did Levis and this year it was Lacroix.

I was with five other models.

We had to lie on the floor and the photographer took pictures from above us, so it was really easy.

We just had to pretend to be asleep most of the time! It was good fun.

Lacroix clothes are really wacky - I loved them. I've never seen clothes like it! I had to wear yellow tights, a pink skirt and a blue, lacy top and loads of belts.

And the necklace I wore! It was a big, chunky gold necklace that went right down to my legs, and it was really thick and heavy. It was dragging me down - it was funny.

October 21

College is fine at the moment. But I know it's going to get harder.

It's quite a lot of work fitting it in with my modelling, but it's fine because I'm on half term at the moment so I can catch up.

I'm still working in the daytime, going to castings. But I haven't gone to lectures for a week. It's nice to get a bit of rest at last!

Come back next month to find out what Jamie's been up to
