"We had a very busy day today! Our first visit of the day was to Ivory Park, an eco-village being built in the middle of a township.

The idea is to one day provide a million homes which don't harm the environment, and we saw how UK and South Africa are working together to enable sustainable development."

Tim:

"The homes there are very different to homes in the UK and I was keen to find out about how they were built.

The walls are strong because although they're made of recycled polystyrene which is set between bricks.

The roofs are made of normal concrete, but also with soil and grass on top. There are also solar panels to produce energy.

I wanted to find out how people will be selected to live in the homes and found out there will be a ballot to decide who deserves to live in the houses the most.

I asked where the villagers will get their food and was told there is a local shop which will be built just down the road from the village."

"I discovered some fantastic new technology in the village. I loved the solar-powered lamp-posts and cookers

I got the chance to questions to David Trimble, Northern Ireland's First Minister. He told me solar power is too expensive for Ireland, but that a new wind farm may be created on the coast.

I also asked what Mr Trimble's first act of sustainability would be when he gets back to Northern Ireland.

He told me he'll be replacing his coal fire with a gas one. He also told me we'd have to wait till the Summit finished to see what had been achieved."

Stephanie:

"I went to see the Banaring Primary School, an eco-school in Pretoria. I met up with Scotland's First Minister Jack McConnell.

The head teacher invited him to dance and after a while Mr McConnell asked if I would join in. So I did!

We all then headed to the Sandton Centre where they met Tony Blair, Margaret Beckett, Rhodri Morgan, Jack McConnell and David Trimble."

After a busy week of action, the WWF Earth Champions now head off on Safari to Pilanesburg National Park for a well earned rest!
