I'm fed up of waiting for OOTP
Updated 07 September 2002, 09.27
Harry Potter books
Sarah thinks people may give up waiting for the new Potter book.

"A few months ago, people on the CBBC Newsround Online Harry Potter message board were saying that we should give JK Rowling some time to complete the fifth book to make it perfect.

And that she's been under pressure by the public and the press.

I agreed with people who said that.

Losing interest

Now I've changed my views.

JK Rowling

She's had two years already to write the book, and I was hoping the book would come out by the end of 2002.

But we may have to wait a further year now.

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire was produced in about a year, and that was a fantastic book.

If the book is released this year, then more will be sold, because - in my opinion - fewer people are going to be interested in it next year.

Not raising hopes

I'm fed up of waiting so long for a book. And now I've learned not to raise my hopes, because things will probably change when I do.

I'm not giving up on Harry Potter, but who knows what may happen if we have to wait longer than what we already have?"

Sarah, 13, Essex
