Breanne on the course

I like the way you can get better, I like learning more about it, improving my game, meeting new people and having a good time.

It's a very competitive sport and I like to do well. I especially like representing my country.

In the summer I play nearly every day, but in the winter I practise more than play.

Sometimes I have to take a lot of time off school to play but I have to catch up on school work I miss.

I usually decide at the beginning of the year which tournaments I'll play in and how much time I'll need off school.

More girls in golf

Breanne hits the ball

A lot more girls play golf now - but still many more boys playing than girls.

My best shot is my drive - I'm quite strong.

I don't mind playing in all sorts of weather as long as I'm dry. If it's raining heavily then they'll stop play.

Anyone wishing to start playing golf, I would advise they join a club, practise hard and get a coach to help you really improve.

I'd like to turn professional one day, and I'd love to win a scholarship to a university on my golfing skills."
