Harry's too good just to be read by kids
Updated 24 August 2002, 12.21
Harry Potter
Jessica thinks that no-one is too old to read Harry Potter.

"I definitely agree that you are never too old to believe.

There is no age restriction that says 'Once you pass a certain age you have to stop reading Harry Potter'.

Besides, if only children were meant to read it, why did they make versions of the books with different covers for adults?

Anyway, books like Harry Potter are too good to be read just by a particular age group.

People shouldn't think that you're weird just because you are 14 and are a huge fan of Harry Potter.

They don't actually say you're weird but you can tell by the looks on their faces that's what they think.

Besides, the actors that play Harry, Ron, Hermione and Draco are all about 13 or 14 and you don't see anyone telling them they're too old.

Be proud

I find it really annoying when people say they don't like Harry Potter when they haven't even bothered to read the first book, let alone seen the movie!

I think that if you really believe in something, you shouldn't be afraid of what other people think or say because you should be proud of who you are and what you believe in."

Jessica, 14, Australia
