  Stop dropping litter!
Updated 22 June 2002, 12.28
Litter on the street
Tom is tired of seeing so much litter around.

"People are always ignoring the dustbin and dropping sweet wrappers, drink cans and lots of litter that can make you very ill indeed.

Millions of people in the UK are dropping rubbish and it is continuing as we speak.

Sometimes, people have to pick it up other people's rubbish and put it in the litter bin.

Animals suffer

The RSPCA have found lots of animals in danger of litter.

Ducks, mallards and frogs are getting seriously injured for the sake of our rubbish dropping.

What I also don't like about this is that we aren't getting very good stuff in the shops at the moment like toys or books because people are not putting litter in the bin for recycling.

So stop dropping rubbish today."

Tom, 9
