Hospital website gets the thumbs up
Updated 30 May 2002, 19.46
Gosh website
Scott explains why their new website will help kids while they're in hospital.

"The website GOSH is about giving kids information on their condition, and what it's like to be in Great Ormond Street hospital and hospital in general.

Online doctors

Children can look at the website from their hospital bed
On the site you can look up your own illness and even e-mail doctors to find out more information about it.

You can also read up about other kids who have similar medical conditions.

There's a cyber café at the hospital where you can look up the website.

Building the site

Kids have had quite a lot of input into making the website, to make it a lot clearer for kids to understand the site.

It's good because you can understand more about your condition because when you're young doctors don't really tell you stuff - they seem to talk to your parents more."

Scott, 15, Essex
