  Classical music can be wonderful
Updated 22 April 2002, 09.23

Oriana is a big fan of classical music and thinks it's a shame that more kids don't enjoy listening to it.

"Sweet harmonies, floating peacefully in the air, music to my ears.

Crashing drums like stormy thunder bolts, stunning hushed audiences.

Cry along to Mozart or laugh to Tchaikowsky, feel the magic that music brings to you.

Spellbound

All my life, I have been truly spellbound by the tune Greensleeves, especially when played on a piano.

Classical music can be wonderful and enchanting.

All over the world we are amazed by it. People pay loads of money to listen to it.

It can be heard on televisiona and radio. You can't go a day without hearing it!

Kids prefer pop

Of course kids in general like pop music more than classical music, and don't really listen to classical music very often.

This is a shame, because it can be so beautiful."
