The record meant taking the aluminium cans, counting them, drilling a hole in the base of them all and then threading them onto a string - as many as possible in 24 hours.
The attempt started at 8:30am and after 17 hours of hard work, at 1:30am the next morning our chain contained 27,932 cans.
Doubled existing record
It measured 3.3km and therefore more than doubled the existing record, which had stood at 12,756 cans.
A fantastic effort and a new World Record!"
