'Teachers need to notice the bullies'
Updated 17 December 2001, 09.32

Hayley from Grimsby thinks that teachers don't do enough to stop bullying in schools.

Here's what she says.

"It's a well known fact that bullying happens mostly in school but not everyone realizes it.

I have seen people in my classes getting bullied by other students and the teachers didn't even notice.

Bullies disrupt the class

Teachers seem to focus their teaching on the students that mess around but they do this so much they don't really know what the other students are like!

And when students want to move because of bullies the teachers' answers are, "you only want to move so you can be with your friends".

I think teachers should be more strict and talk to people who always seem quiet and alone, then maybe the bullies will be stopped.

So when parents want an answer for constant bullying they need look no further than the teachers!"
