  Xmas lights photo challenge
Updated 19 November 2001, 20.52

As Christmas gets closer, towns and cities all over UK are transforming their usually dull streets with sparkly Christmas lights.

Many are inviting celebrities to flick the switch and light up the lives of locals.

Bob fixed it!

Bob the Builder pleased the crowds in Birmingham on Thursday, fixing it so the lights came on with no technical problems.

And on Monday pop favourites S Club 7 were in charge of switching on the famous Oxford street decorations.

But what are the Christmas lights like in your area? Is there a famous celebrity in charge of the switch in your town?

We want you to take a photo and send it to us by e-mail or by post and we'll put them on the website. The best one will win a groovy instant camera that's also a radio!

Email your photo to:
