The mother of murdered school boy Luke Walmsley has told the press she thinks schools need better security.
Instead of airport-style security checks, she thinks there should be more CCTV cameras.
But do YOU feel safe - or scared at school?
Because the stabbing was such an isolated incident, is there any need for extra security?
Or do you think that the point is it happened, so security can't be good enough as it is?
Whatever you think, e-mail and let us know.

I think if this can happen in school which is supposed to be one of the safest places to be, how can we be safe on the streets? Antony, 15, Glasgow
I think we need more cameras for protection in our primary school. We haven't any at all and our school always gets vandalised but now I'm moving on to secondary. Tasha, 11, Bolton
At school I always take a break and think about all the strange things that happened in America but other than that I feel ok. Lee, 13, Birmingham
Extremely. I go to quite a small secondary school and everybody is very friendly. We have a mentor system, but I don't think they get much business! Natalie, 14, Kent
I think my school is really safe and I also think that private schools are less likely to have vandalism and stuff so I feel safe because of that but I think state schools should have more security. Harriet, 12, Taunton
I do not feel safe at school at all, as I have been severely bullied since I started in 2000. All the teachers know about the bullying but they haven't done anything about it. All the teachers get us to do is write a statement of the incident and then that's it. Sam, 15, London
I don't feel safe at school because there are no teachers watching - just a couple of CCTVs. Natalie, 11, Poole

I do sort of feel safe at school because there are loads of people there. But then again I don't because I know hundreds of the things that we do in between lessons that the teachers don't find out about for years. Lily, 12, Lincolnshire
I don't feel safe in my school. They only have CCTV in certain classes and that's not for our safety it's in case someone broke in to the school. I get bullied a lot I'm very scared it could happen in our school. Amy, 12, Hucknall
I don't feel safe at school, because there are loads of people who you think you can trust, but can't. My friend put my best friend through hell when she beat my best friend up, so you can never be too careful who you pick for friends. Sammi, 12, Swindon
I feel safe in school but there is bulling in the class - mainly verbal and hardly any teachers do anything about and I don't think it is fair. The teachers should be the ones helping and stopping the bullying. Jodi, 14, Cheshire
I feel safe at school because there is CCTV cameras and my friends are always with me. Also the school colour is black and most of the children wear the school uniform or colour so we know who is not from the school and who is! Jade, 13, Falkirk
I don't really think about it when I'm in school but the only CCTV cameras are outside the main entrance and there isn't much security around the rest of the building. Clare, 14, Essex
I don't feel safe as when I go to school people look at me as I stick my head down and get on with things and they call me a geek and teachers pet etc and I have been bullied a good few times in school and out for it so my mother changed my school and I am settled in her know and I feel safe - I love it. Scott, 14, Liverpool
I don't feel safe in my school at all. People regularly have fights - in the last fight, a girl started attacking people with a metal pole. Once kids from another school nearby came after school with knives and threatened to beat people up. Lily, 14, London
I feel okay but not safe because you do not know when might happen. especially in Luke's case it will make teenagers feel less safe. I think the school needs to improve a bit more, because parents want their kids to feel safe at school but at the moment it is like a place you do not feel safe. Felicia, 15, London
At school we have police. There are lots of big gangs who many people are afraid of though. However these gangs normally don't hurt you, there all chat and no doing David, 13, Bedford
I don't feel safe at school because even when the teacher says 'it's going to be aright', it never is...You can never trust what anyone says until you see and find out for yourself. Elena, 13, Boston

My school is like Big Brother! There are cameras everywhere you look. I'm not exaggerating, they are everywhere. Juliette, 13, Cardiff
Yeah, I feel safe. I go to a private all-girls school. The closest we get to vandalism is drawing on the desks! Louise, 13, Surrey
I feel sort of safe at school but bullies can never stop being horrible. Tod, 11, Stevenage
I think that schools don't make students feel secure. I don't know about anyone else but bullying is bad enough, but murder! The schools are really letting there standards slips. Kerry, 12, Northampton
I feel totally safe at my school. The only problem we ever have is when the students at the school next door climb over the fence and try to start fights. Eliza, 14, Birmingham

I don't feel safe at all because there are a lot of things that go on that teachers don't even know about so I'm worried that something might happen to me and no one will know. Jenny, 15, Bristol
I've never felt that safe at school. Teachers can never seem to stop the bullies so they never stop and how can you feel safe like that? Maybe after poor Luke's death teachers will try to do more to help bully's victims and to stop the bullying as that's my biggest school fear. Lucy, 14, Norfolk
