A survey has shown that children would prefer their parents to be at home and spend time with them.
Children don't like the fact that their parents work all week and don't have as much time for them.
If your parents worked less you might get less pocket money, but does that really matter?
I see my mum every Saturday and I live with my dad sometimes it's hard cos they can't stand in a room without arguing! Tammy, 11, Lancashire
My parents work full time, and when I do see them, they're complaining about how hard they have worked and are always in a mood. Natalie, 13, Hemel Hempstead
My parent work alright, but on Saturdays, we either watch a movie or eat out. And on Sundays, my mum takes me and my bro in her office, where we play with the computers. Then we eat lunch at grandma's house. My parents give me enough time.
 Francesca, 12, London
My mum and dad both work, but they spend loads of time with me. Thank U mum & dad, I luv U!
 Ros, 11, Cheltenham
My mum and dad both work but whenever they have spare time they spend it with me and my sisters.
 Steph, 13, Swindon
My parents work a lot, although mum works not very long hours probably about 5 hours and dad works random shifts. But when mum 'n dad come home they never take me out 4 a game of footie or a game of tennis. And my dad 'n I used 2 wrestle he never has time now or he never wants 2 he always wants 2 just relax!
 Jess, 10, Worksop
I think my parents spend way 2 much time at work and not enough time with me and the rest of the family.
 Holly, 14, Ebbw Vale
My parents split up so I'm always so busy juggling my time around to go see my dad but when me and my sis get there it's worth it. But my mum works a lot to keep everything in order so I don't see much of her during the week :(
 Anon, 13, Carmarthenshire
It's great that people notice this because my mum works around 12 hours a day and I don't see much of her! All kids really love their mum and dad and want to spend time with them. But they need to work to keep us alive!
 Emma, 10, Sutton Coldfield
My mum works part time and my dad owns a shop beside my house, so I see them a lot. But it pays off. Now I can go on holidays and cool days out. I wouldn't swap them for anything.
 Lisa, 11, Castle Dawson
My mum is home most of the time as she finishes the same time as my school but she never spends any time with me! I think she gets tired from work and is not in the mood when I get home from school.
 Jenny, 11, Salisbury
Not at all. My mum has a part-time job and my dad is a doctor and he usually comes home at about 5.30. He hardly ever works at weekends.
 Catherine, 9, Conlig
When me and my family lived in Spain I didn't spend nearly as much time with my parents as I do now but I got more money. It's ssssssssooooooooooo much better now
 Hannah, 12, Suffolk
Both my parents work full time but it doesn't bother me. I love having 'me' time with no parents! I can pig out! If they didn't work I couldn't have nice holidays and days out!
 Laura, 13, Southampton
My mum works from home - with 5 kids she has to. But my dad is always working, and every other week he's on business trips. I just wish he would spend more time with me and my sisters. My baby sister barely knows him, because by the time he gets home from work, the baby is in bed
 Shelly, 14, London
My parents always find time to spend with me and my older brother! My dad works during the day then also has a job at night delivering parcels and I help. That means me and my dad spend a lot of time together! My mum works too but she has all sorts of different shifts but we always carry on at night and have a giggle. My mum and dad mean the world to me and I wouldn't trade them in for anything at all!!!
 Lyndsay, 14, Glasgow
My mum has a 9-5 job and my dad sometimes works till 9pm but I think that I spend enough time with them. They never give me pressies so I don¿t win either way.
 Helena, 13, Grimsby
My mother does not work very much but my father is a surgeon and works almost all day and most of the night so I barely get to see him and I hate it.
 Ajmina, 12, London
My parents are workaholics. They do just about everything possible to give themselves more work and they hardly ever spend time with my little brother and I.
 Alice, 14, Askett
Not at all. My dad does a lot of work from home, and my mum only works part time, so she can look after my siblings and I. I'd hate it if my parents were always working though.
 Orla, 9, London
Both of my parents work all week and I do miss them! My dad works away and so I would prefer it if he was at home to spend time with. I'm not really bothered about pocket money etc... It's just them being there that counts not the number of presents, although I do like getting presents! :)
