Don't know if you're aware, but there's this movie opened about a boy wizard. :)
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets follows the massively successful first movie and the first reviews have been glowing.
Loads of you have already seen the film and we want to know what you think of it?
 What a disappointment. Yet again Chris Columbus has failed to deliver a film which could be great. The only good thing in this film is the wonderful Kenneth Branagh! If only the fans could direct the film...

I thought this film was excellent. I went to see it today and it was the best film I have seen this year. The acting was superb and the special effects were amazing.
The spider scene terrified me as I hate spiders but I had to watch it as I couldn't keep my eyes off the screen. Daniel, Rupert and Emma all did a fantastic job as the three leading characters, I will definitely see it again before the film comes out on Video and DVD

It was AWESOME!!! The acting was amazing, by all three main characters and everyone else, it was fantastic!! I think they did a way better job at fitting the quidditch players into the background than in the first one.
They could have done a better job with Fawkes, he looked like he was from an old cheap movie, the Basilisk was pretty good, and Dobby was great. I hate it how some people are complaining the movies aren't exactly like the books... news to them, it even says in the credits, "Based on the novel by J.K. Rowling", key word "BASED".
It's an adaptation of the book, not people acting out the book word for word, chapter for chapter!!! The movie was also very funny, and the acting just blew me away. In the audience I was in, people were clapping, cheering, jumping, and screaming!!

I went to see COS on Saturday and I have two words. LOVED IT!!!!!! It was the best movie I have ever seen!! Although a lot of good parts were missing like:
- Mr. Weasley and Mr. Malfoy's fight in Flourish and Blott's.
- Valentine's day when Ginny sends Harry a valentine.
- The deathday party.
There were also some things added such as:
- When Harry and Ron are flying to Hogwarts in the car and the Hogwarts Express chases them and then Harry falls out of the car.
- At the end where Hermione runs into the great hall and hugs Harry!
All the parts that were added made the film more exciting!
I loved all the funny parts! They were awesome! This movie is WAY BETTER then PS! The characters are also WAY better at acting in this movie and I found that Rupert's voice got deeper. Tom Felton looks and sounds more like his age and he is now one of my favourite characters. Brittany, 12

Daniel Radcliffe was an amazing actor. He's only 12/13 and certainly put a lot of effort into his acting!! He would never have been picked to be Harry Potter if he was not good! He made COS a whole lot better and it wouldn't be right with out him! Charlotte, 12, Taunton
The movie's awesome, but I was disappointed by the Quidditch match!!! It looked like they cut and pasted Harry and Draco on a cardboard background, not as realistic as the first match. Dawn, 13

I thought it was brilliant. Much better than the first film, they managed to make Hogwarts and the whole wizarding world look much more realistic, like it really exists. The Quidditch was also much better. Fawkes was really well done, The spiders and Ron vomiting Slugs was cool.

I'm going to see the film in about an hour, but I wish people would stop criticising Harry Potter! It's not fair to expect every single little detail to be perfect. As amazing as the books are, the film should be made as close as possible to the books, but realistically nobody will ever be able to bring the magic of the books to the big screen and I think the films have had a really good attempt! I thought the film was going to be BRILL! In reality the film is, well, not rubbish, but not good. The scenes that weren't put in the film were the best, the director added scenes that didn't happen in the book, which I thought made it unrealistic, and to make it even worse, the acting from Daniel Radcliffe WAS RUBBISH!!!. I'd give it 6/10. I think the new LOTR film, the Two Towers, will be 100 times better. and the giant spider, Aragog was so unrealistic. Josh, 12, Leiston

I thought COS was brilliant, way better than the first. The special effects were fantastic and the action incredible plus it was a lot more funny! I didn't think the second Harry Potter movie was as good as the first, half the book had been cut out. All of the best parts of the book were missing. The spiders didn't look real and Fawkes looked like a puppet. I went to see the film for my birthday and I thought it was the best thing I've ever seen! I think Emma Watson (Hermione) was by far the best. Anyone who hasn't seen it all I can say is get out there, get a ticket, sit back and enjoy!!!!

I think both Harry Potter movies are excellent. The new director should choose carefully about the person who is going to play Cho Chang, they want somebody pretty. I think they should try and stick to the book a bit more. I have got say that Daniel Radcliffe is totally hot. Me and my best friends Clarissa, Verity and Ciara fancy Daniel Radcliffe and Tom Felton.

I really enjoyed this film, it was so much better than the first one. It was very exciting and the flying cars scenes were great. This film is much more like the book than The Philosopher¿s Stone was. I loved the way it had loads of humour as well as action.

I saw the Harry Potter film a couple of days ago. I was really excited because I loved the books. When I saw the film I was really disappointed! What I wanted to see was something that was really like the book, especially the fight in the bookshop between Mr Weasley and Mr Malfoy, but they didn't show it. Wow! The Chamber of Secrets was absolutely amazing, definitely the film of the year! I am a huge Potter fan and was slightly disappointed with the first film, but COS is so much better, it's hilarious! Gilderoy Lockhart was perfect and Dan's acting has improved so much. It was a much better film than the first, despite it's terribly cheesy Hollywood ending. Moaning Myrtle has to be my favourite. She really captured the character well. If you hated the first then you will probably hate this one too, but if you thought that the first was good but flawed (as I did) then I'm sure you'll have a great time! Sacha, 15, London

Harry Potter was brilliant! I went last night and it was much better than the first, mostly because it had slowed down a bit and was less rushed. The only downside was the ending. It was very cheesy, especially the line 'Hogwarts isn't anything without you Hagrid!' and me and my friends were laughing hysterically! I think Harry Potter 2 is absolutely fantastic! I probably see myself as Harry's No.1 fan as I have been a huge fan ever since the first book came out. I think the acting has really improved although it was still fantastic in the first but I thought that Dan and Rupert really grabbed the characters of Harry and Ron and played them perfectly! I really hope that one day I can meet the characters and act with them in the fourth book as I am hoping to play Fleur. I really hope that everyone who acted in the first and second film will stay on all the way through! It's really weird for me because people in my school (even if I don't know them) will come to me if they wanna know about Harry Potter. I saw the movie on Saturday! IT'S WICKED! I would recommend it to all fans of the first film and the books. Christian Coulson was wicked as Tom Riddle! He captured the role perfectly. LOL to all the people who played new characters and to Rupert Grint and Robbie Coltrane! Daniel Radcliffe's acting has really improved. COS was a lot better than the first film. It was really funny and action packed. The cast are also much more mature than they are in the last movie and they are really getting better in acting. I think that Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets is really great and brilliant! I think the actors act much better and older.
My favourite character is Harry (Daniel Radcliffe) cos he is sooooooo cute !!!!!!!!!!!! I can't wait to see the film again. I am a huge Harry Potter fan and hope that one day I can meet the stars. I saw the film on Sunday and I thought it was amazing!!! It was much better than the first film. I love all the characters, they are so cool and Ron said some funny things, didn't he?!? I admit that I was a little disappointed that some of my favourite scenes from the book had been missed out of the film (especially the bit where the Weasley twins keep bowing at Harry!), but the film was still brilliant. The film was better than the first. One reason why is because they have become better at acting, they know what they're doing. They all look and sound older. Of course, it was good. But nowhere near as good as everyone was expecting. The film-makers cut out all the best bits from the book, leaving only the bare essentials. Gilderoy Lockhart wasn't as annoying as he should have been. All the 'bonus footage' at the end lasted about a second (literally).

I went and saw the Harry Potter preview for 'The Chamber of Secrets' last night and I have to say it was completely AMAZING! It was way better than the first one, although the Philosopher's Stone was cool too. If you haven't read the book, you'll find it hard to follow. The way that everything magical is so realistic is brilliant. It was a bit scary though, those spiders - eeek! Gilderoy Lockhart was fab, he was so funny. He's so full of himself and thinks he's brilliant at everything and that he's better than everyone else when in fact he can't do anything! Ron was funny too, his facial expressions when it was the spider scene were hilarious!! It's a long film but it's one where you don't want to move out of your seat in case you miss anything. If I had to sum it up in one word - Marvellous! and I can't wait to see it again!

I can't believe they got away with that. It's got to be the WORST film this year. Now, don't get my wrong, I LOVE Harry Potter, and COS is my fave HP book, but the film was so ... rushed. It was really bad.
I can honestly say, hand on heart, that the new LOTR film, The Two Towers will be better than this, heck, even Postman Pat is better than this!

I've only seen the previews but it looks brilliant! And in spite of what everybody says about Dobby he looks good and I have to admit Dan does look very hot! And I can't wait until the second movie comes out. I've been looking forward to the movies since I read the books. I hope the movie is as good I expected it to be.

If you already know the story, then it is disappointing because they changed it for the film. It is not all the same as the book. There were never flying keys and a giant chess game in book 1, it was potions and more logic. They just spoil every storyline! Sophie, 10, France

Last night I went to a charity preview of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets! It was fantastic! The movie was definitely better than the first. It had a darker plot and this made it a much more dramatic and intense film.
I think that the acting was better too, as the characters from the first movie seem to have developed more. The new characters, such as Gilderoy Lockhart were great too!
I have to admit, that I was slightly dubious about seeing this film. I found the first film slightly disappointing, so I went into the cinema not expecting too much. And I came out absolutely speechless! I was so surprised - the movie was way better than I thought it would be.
I was also a bit doubtful about Dobby - from the trailers he seemed too scrawny and not 'cute' enough. But don't worry; by the end of the film you learn to love him!
The only thing I didn't like was that the 'Chamber of Secrets' scene ended too abruptly - there wasn't enough time for emotion.
One word of warning though, if you don't like spiders, make sure you've got someone's hand to hold - that scene was way scary!

Saw a preview of Harry Potter & COS today - it's wicked!!!! I can't WAIT to see it again! I reckon it's better than the first film because it's a lot more about the action whereas the first film had to focus quite a lot on introducing the characters and the situation. I saw the Harry Potter film today and It IS THE BEST FILM EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was little disappointed last year because in the first film stuff had been changed, but in this film only one thing different. It is so cool, way better than Potter 1 (although Philosopher's Stone was pretty good). The action bits have been pepped up from the book and Kenneth Branagh is brilliant as Lockhart. The spiders are soooooo scary too! Connor, 13, London
