More and more of you are being taught at home instead of going out to school, so we're asking what you think of it.
Is home schooling just as good as going to school? Do home school kids miss out on seeing their mates?
Or perhaps you're at regular school and hate it. Do you wish you could stay at home, even if it means your parent is also your teacher?
Unfortunately this topic is now closed but there are Comments pages on other subjects on the main Chat index.
I love home schooling, it's the best and those people who think you don't get an education are wrong. Those people who think that going to school is best just rememmber that some kids don't have friends at school and find it stressful. I do home schooling because I have a sickness and I was never ment to get up so early in the morning! Alexa, 11, Sydney, Australia
I've been home educated all my life and I absolutely love it! My mum teaches me, and twice a year the government send round someone to check that I'm learning properly. I want to be an author when I grow up and I bet I'm gonna be! The only downside is, I don't have that many friends as I would in school, but it's brilliant anyway! Bethany, 11, Dorset
No school? I'd be dead bored! No friends with you or anything! I just wish school would not start so early! Eleanor, 11, Birmingham
I am home taught by my mum along with my twin sister and we love it. We have been home taught now for about six months and when we are 16 we are going to do are GCSEs in college, so we are not dipping out on anything. Katie, 15, Stafford
School isn't just about learning it is also about making friends and working with other people. You learn more in school than being at home. Sue, 12, Barley
I went to school got bullied, had no social life. Now I am home educated I have loads of friends, play in music band and I am learning more than I ever did before. My mum is not my "teacher", we learn together. It's great. Richard, 15, Kent
I go to 'normal' school and i hate it!!! I would much rather be at home. Joanne, 15, Brighton
I am home-educated and I love it! My mum's friend teaches me and her two daughters together. But sometimes my confidence goes down because my big brother says I don't get an education, which I feel is horrible. But I'm working on getting my own back on him! Jeff, 14, Middlesborough

I'm at sixth form and I love it, but I think school is the best place to be educated, no contest! You meet new friends to socialise and hang with and it's the part of the day where you don't get nagged at about the state of your room! Kayleigh, 16, Banbury

Home education doesn't have to be scheduled, which I like. You should stay in school if you have friends unless you don't mind making new friends and seeing your other friends less. If you don't have many friends and there are a couple of subjects that you want to do less of and some you want to do more of, then home education could be good for you. Jo, 10, St Albans
I think that I would hate to stay at home for school because I'd miss talking to friends at break time about the teachers that are horrible and all the different subjects. Eleanor, 12, Paisley
I'm doing a correspondence course at the mo' and I left my school about two years ago for various reasons. I don't get taught by my parents though I really have to motivate myself and do a lot of work whenever I can. Learning at home isn't good for lots of people if they can't motivate themselves and sit and watch TV all day - but I don't have a problem with that. I'm living a different sort of life from most of my friends by doing this but I'm sure not missing out and I love every moment of it. You don't have to follow the crowd to be happy, you just have to get out there and do your own thing and be determined to win! Victoria, 15, Scotland
Uh, noooo! Those people in the Newsround report were total freaks. Being home schooled won't give you a taste of real life. The education can't be nearly as good. How about GCSEs???? Camilla, 13, Sussex
I think that going to school is better because you mix with other children. When you get taught by your parent , they could not only teach you wrong things but you only learn their opinions, so you might become more like them!!! Matt, 14, Altrincham
I don't think being taught at home is a good idea because you wouldn't socialise or get to meet other people also you might be tempted to watch the TV or you might not do any work at all. It is not good for your self-confidence. Claire, 15, Swadlincote
I am home schooled and I love it! My mum teaches me and it's good because I can watch TV in my break! I still see as much of my friends as if I was at school because I'm with a whole group of home-ed kids. Martha, 12, Milton Keynes
It would be really great about learning from home because you wouldn't have to worry about being bullied or getting dressed in the mornings, although you might miss your friends a bit. Alex, 11, Cam
The only good thing about getting taught at home would be that you wouldn't get any homework!! Heather, 15, Aberdeenshire
I think 'normal' school teaches you about life, as well as lessons. You learn to cope with those bullies and teachers you don't get on with. I think it's setting me up for the rest of my life! Clare, 13, Essex
Just last year, I started going to school and entered into Y12 a year earlier then other people my age having been home educated all my life. I don't know about other people but it certainly worked for me! I always had friends that went to school or that didn't. I feel that I have come out of it very confident in myself and happy to have had and still to have the freedom to study any topic which I have had an interest in! Karishma, 16, London
I would love to be home schooled because when I go to school I get bullied. You would work more in a more comfortable environment. Jemma, 13, Farnham
I am home educated and it is the best. I have never been to school but I am thinking about going to 6th form. I have lots of friends, some that are home educated and some not. I have a sister and a brother and they don't go to school and have never been to school. We are part of a support group, the Isle of Wight learning zone and it is really good. Thank you, Newsround, for doing a thing about home education. It's the best. Francesca, 13, Isle of Wight
I go to regular school and I am happy at it. I don't think I would like to be home schooled. Part of your school life is to be with friends, not your mum and dad! Also, even though people (including me) might 'hate' some teachers or classmates, it is good for your social skills to be able to work alongside people you may not like. Suzanne, 14, Essex
I go to school at home. It's good cos there are no bullies and you can work at your own speed, so you don't get behind. Philip, 12, Telford
I think it would be good cos, you will be able to answer all of the questions when you want! And also you won't have to worry about girls and boys bullying you...
 Jade, 10, Musbury
No! I'd miss gossiping about stuff with my mates! Also me and my mum are trains heading for a crash! I couldn't cope with her ALL day! My cat whinges all the time so that would irritating! Laura, 13, Southampton
I don't think I'd like it coz I wouldn't get to see my mates and me and my mum would probably argue all the time! I don't think I would learn as much, not that I learn much anyway! Rach, 13, Birmingham
It would be OK but I would be tempted to go on my laptop and watch the TV instead! Luke, 14, Birmingham
I wouldn't coz you couldn't see all the mates as you would be home and also you couldn't make new friends. Natasha, 11, Hatfield
I enjoy what I learn more than my friends who go to school. If you learn so much at school, why do they give you so much home work? I'd hate to go to school. All you hear about is bullying. Sophie, 11, Leyton
I would like it, my parents are both university teachers so I wouldn't care much. And I would see my friends when I have free time, so I guess I would be funnier than regular schools. Alexandra, 13, London
I have lots of home educated friends. I like playing on the computer and swimming lessons. My cousin is going to school after Christmas and I won't see her as much. Elisabeth, 5, Leyton
My mum says that I'm too cool for school. I love science and I'm going to Duxford tomorrow. Micah, 7, Leyton
I've been home schooled ever since I left nursery and I think it's fine. Though it does get boring when my friends start talking about their new secondary school or something, but I also have one friend who is home schooled too, so we do lots of lessons together. Katrina, 11, Beckton
I love it! At first I was a bit worried about having to be home all day with my mum and not getting a chance to see my friends. But actually, I think I see them more, cos I get my homework done early and then I've loads of time to go out. Scott, 13, Isle of Man
