Damilola sounded like such an innocent boy and to take away his life like that is not on. Katy, 12, Cambridgeshire
I feel very sorry for Damilola's parents and I give them my deepest sympathys. I hope they catch the person who killed him, and I hope they get punished really harshly. Sumeet, 13, Birmingham
I don't know much about Damilola but what I do know the people that did this shouldn't get away with somthing as bad and as terrible as what happened to him. I feel sorry for his family. Geraint, 15, Cardiff
None of us can possibly imagine what his family and friends must be going through. Jamie-Anne & Chloe-Olivia, 13, UK
I suppose that it's good that the boys have been acquitted if they didn't kill Damilola, but it must be agonising for his parents not having justice for their son. Nina, 13, Peterborough
I hope they find the person who murdered him. It obviously wasn't an accident coz he had a marble in his mouth. Rachel, 13, Birmingham
People today can be very sick. Especially murdering an innocent boy. He didn't even have a chance to grow up or speak for himself. Laura, 11, Hurley
I feel very sorry for Damilola's parents and I think that it is dreadful that his killers have not been found. My prayers are with his family. Sarah, 16, Manchester
The whole thing is scaring me. All my friends joke about it but I'm just frightened. Frankie, 10, Manchester
I think it's really upsetting that no one knows what happened to Damilola. If he was murdered, the person/people that killed him will have guilt on their conscience forever. I feel very sorry for his family & friends.
 Minnie, 10, Bristol
I just think it's awful. And now, unless there is new evidence, his family will never know what happened to their son that night. It's just terrible. I hope there is justice for him.
 Laura, 12, High Wycombe
The death of Damilola is a tragedy, with so many children going missing it must be agony for parents and indeed Damilola's family. How must they be feeling?
 Gabriella, Northwich
If I were Damilola's parents I would hate to be in that position. I mean the curiosity of the public has had some effect on safety. There should be better security as I don't even feel safe around this place! Good Luck on the search, I hope you do well!!!
 Sarah, 11, Borehamwood
I feel this isn't really a good verdict. Maybe the two boys didn't commit the crime but if they did, it will be in their conscience and they have to live with knowing it.
 Vicky, 12, Yorkshire
I've just got back from school to find out that there will be no justice for Damilola and his parents. I cannot believe that someone is still out there who has done this and they have got off scot-free. I hope whoever did this is haunted forever by nightmares and they will never get any peace. After all, Damilola never will. Paula, 12, Greenock
I feel sorry for Damilola's parents, they'll never know who killed their son. Mark, 15, Sunderland
