A 60-year-old grandma has saved a man from a crocodile attack in Queensland by jumping on the back of the creature.
Alicia Sorohan dived on top of the saltwater croc when she saw the beast dragging her friend from his tent in northern Australia.
Kicking and poking the 4.2 metre crocodile, the heroic grandma managed to distract it long enough to enable her friend to escape.
The pair were airlifted to hospital and are now recovering from the drama.
The attack happened at the Bathurst Bay campsite, 20 metres from the water's edge.
Crocodile hunter Mick Pitman was surprised by the attack.
"It usually doesn't climb out of the river or the ocean where it's in its own safety zone as far as the water goes"
